Regal July Part 5

Last movie of July was a special 40th anniversary showing of Fast Times at Ridgemont High. A guy named Scott introduced an interview before the movie with the director Amy and the guy who did Licorice Pizza. 

I had to pay $12.50 to see it and went back and forth on whether I should or not. I received a 1/5 dot toward Emerald status. I also got a free small popcorn with points and 10% off of a large drink.

They said it was released in August of 1982 the summer after I had graduated from college. I worked at the Sherman Oaks Galleria (I verified just interior shots of it in the movie) during Christmas of 1980 after graduating high school at the department stores Broadway and Robinsons. The parking lot was awful at the Galleria.

There were two couples and a guy and I as individuals that watched it. I was there really early and asked security if it was okay that I was in the auditorium already and he said yes I could sit in the theater and wait.
 

Before I bought my ticket I took a picture of the photo booth. We had one in Reseda too.

I came to the conclusion we are globally fighting the Reagan years right now.

How many people voted? This is the argument Segal and I got into. Per the government website the U.S. population in the 1980 census was counted at 226,542,199.

“Shut Sunday School down I have Iran peace talks” I was told during the war with NBC.

The only other time the popular vote was brought up in my life that I saw was by the news in 2000 when they were recounting Florida for Gore.
