Urban Oasis 2024

I just saw the first pictures of the Urban House in Kansas City Missouri

Front door? Gone (I need a solid door. Maybe to match the garage)

The windows? And white? The first thing I’d do is rip out the siding in the middle and put up brick veneer or something to make it look like a two story townhouse.

I think I like brick veneer for the African skinny bathroom too.

I did see the blue stripe in the backyard by the window so maybe under the tiny window in the front too.

The bottom stair? Trip. You could put pillar types at the bottom to block it but why isn’t it a landing/turn the stairs type thing for more walk through? It’s too close.

I am not going to panic. It isn’t furnished yet.

Can you get a piano in the music room?

I think I would make the bunk room something different. No one would make you put mattresses in there. It reminds me of a tiny home.

The wellness room. I like the color but I see a freezer down there with my Diet Coke stash for the winter. Maybe my barre… wellness enough

I checked and they’re playing the Olympic Coverage and the Fabulous Four.

I’m not sure how I feel about the Fabulous Four. Just don’t assume I’m a character!

There was something interesting about Trap but I don’t know if I could watch it.

Update: In August I purchased my first refill of BioZyme Concentrate for dishes and another Body Wash to use as hand soap.

End of July

They’re not letting me upload my photos.

That does not mean I will quit posting on my blog!

The end of the month started early because they’re living off my government phone and threatened the next two phones. We’re at 10 phones stolen, 2 iPads and 2 desktops. I’m not paying for their crime by upgrading my usage with my carrier.

So I had to walk to Family Dollar/Dollar Tree as of the 11th of July. Although a painful walk I decided to enjoy birthday month by focusing on organizing my kitchen.

I continued with drawers and am at shelves. I organized 3 drawers (junk drawer, baking and silverware) so far but hope I am left alone soon.

They are already sending notices that I am out of GB 

One day desperate!? The hood is angry.

July Norwex Purchase

 

Pictured: Lysere Body Wash, Bottle Brush with EnviroSleeve, Bright and White Laundry + Home Booster and Crystal Deodorant

I’ve been using the Body Wash as a hand soap for now. The Bright and White replaced my bleach in the laundry room. The Crystal deodorant is unscented and helps with wetness. 

Had to start to organize my purchases this month!

I bought the organizer and drying mats at Dollar Tree and am considering this my “I don’t need these on the counter really but they’re at the ready when needed” storage solution. 

Summer

I was tired of Christmas and have to move my New Years Resolutions back to January.

In Summer I make a to do list. I’ve only gotten two things done in the first 6 months.

Merge Mansion wise I just d/l the update for August I’m still making Exotic Plants!

1. ✅ Power/Pressure Wash porch and walkways

- Probably remove one walkway (this would be the next step instead of repair)

✅ Rehang swing with S hooks

✅ Block fasteners instead of repair swing

✅ Orange Glo Swing (mineral oil was the 2nd ingredient)

- Possibly re-stain swing

- Ants! (have ready)

- Hang the Address Plaque my mom purchased in 2007

2. Take down front awning  

If I hire someone I’ll add the side and back awnings down too (Goal September. I have 2 choices I think)

- Hang paper blinds inside (have ready)

I might just clean them now. The rehab on my house broke the plastic pulls (tassels) and now that I’m doing the back door I broke one of those. (11 replacements ready) The Dish Brush/EnviroCloth is doing a good job on it though. Just time consuming.

3. Leaves (have to dig out my car)

4. Remove weeds on hard surfaces (have ready)

I had some Ortho from when I first moved in to finish and got halfway through. That spray is good until Nov but not much has died so far.

I’ll give up when I have the bed of soil redone. This might include removing that concrete. I’m watching what grows out of curiosity. Unfortunately a lot of rocks
